Attributed to Ferdinando Vicchi, Italian, 1875 to 1945, a marble Art Deco sculpture depicting a young woman in a contemplative pose, seated with her head resting in her left hand while holding a book in her right hand. Crafted with meticulous detail, the womans nude upper body is fashioned from pure white marble, contrasting beautifully with the drapery of green verde antico marble that covers her lap.
