Attributed to Simon Avissar, Israeli, Moroccan, born 1938, a pair of symmetrical mixed media paintings on board depicting an Expressionist Figurative portraits. Each is framed. Simon Avissar, the painter, was born in Morocco in 1948. Simon moved to U.S.A. He worked for 14 years in Paris. Education: 1959 to 1960 Paris, arts appliques; 1959 to 1961 Beaux Arts, Paris; 1962 to 1963 Bezalel, Jerusalem. His works range from pure abstract expressionist painting to figurative expressionism to an almost Surrealist calligraphic abstraction. One of a kind artwork.
