ATTRACTIVE, CUSTOM FINISHED & ENGRAVED WINCHESTER

MODEL 1887 LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga. S# 21535. Mfg. 1888 & subsequently upgraded to current configuration. 24" bbl. with brass bead front sight. Action has been color cased hardened. Left side of action has stylized "WRA Co" surrounded by double straight line borders which in turn are surrounded by foliate scroll engraving over punch dot background, as are the 2 action screw heads. The entirety of which engraved around contours with straight line & wavy border. Right side of action engraved with pointing dog in circle. Scene is surrounded by foliate scroll over punch dot background. Remaining borders and scroll mirror the left side. Bbl. & mag. tube finished in a custom Rich charcoal blue. Gloss finished checkered and nicely figured Custom fitted walnut forend panels and round knob pistol grip buttstock with checkered Bishop hard rubber buttplate. Bbl. & mag. tube retain 98% custom bluing with only polish marks visible. Action retains 95% vivid case colors with light high edge wear. Stock set retains 98% gloss finish with only a couple minor finish scratches. There is a singular minor loss at head of stock right side measuring approx. 1/2" x 1/8". Bore has been cleaned with evidence of prior pitting. An overall nicely embellished Winchester 1887 custom shotgun. (01-30308/BH). ANTIQUE. $3,000-5,000.
