Footnotes
Alberto Giorgi (born 1947), an Italian jeweller and goldsmith, trained under the sculptor Edgardo Mannucci and became a leading figure of the Fano School. Working from the 1960s onward, at a moment when kinetic art was reshaping established forms, he made geometry his own language, crafting jewels evoking mobile constellations and celestial landscapes, their pivots and articulations echoing the movement of the stars. His work is held in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York.
