KILLADOON HOUSE, PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT IRISH ESTATE

ATTRIBUTED TO ARTHUR POND
London 1701 - 1758 Surrey
PORTRAIT OF ANNE, VISCOUNTESS MASSEREENE, LATER COUNTESS OF MASSEREENE (1716-1805), CIRCA 1791

Pastel, held in a carved gilt-wood 'Kentian' frame
575 by 455 mm.; 22½ by 17¾ in.

Condition Report:
The overall impression is good. However, part of the shawl and sitter's chest has suffered a damage. This can only be seen on very close inspection. The damage does not appear to be a repaired tear but the surface has been disturbed and rubbed. The work has not been examined out of its frame. We are grateful to Neil Jeffares for his help when cataloguing this lot.
