Other Notes: Rodin was introduced to the Japanese actress and dancer Ohta Hisa (1868–1945), known as Hanako, in 1906. Captivated by her beauty, Rodin created a series of sculptures and drawings of the actress from 1907 to 1911. This bronze was likely modeled as part of that series.
This bronze is accompanied by various documentation, including a Certificat d'Origine from the Musée Rodin dated October 12, 1958.
