AUSTRIA. Taler, 1715/2. Vienna Mint. Charles VI. NGC MS-61.

Dav-1035; KM-1522. Second finest certified of the overdate on the NGC population report, none listed in Mint State on the PCGS census. An attractive and richly toned example featuring eye catching rainbow colors in the peripheries. The color scheme of tone displayed on this lovely piece could only have been obtained from sitting for an extended period of time. The open areas and high points of the obverse and reverse exhibit a soft dirty gray while the crevasses boast a range from stone gray to slate patina. The open fields of the obverse contain some micro abrasions, indicative of being lightly handled. A wholesome high grade example of a RARE overdate sure to add depth to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $700 - $1,000.

Provenance: From the Habsburg Collection.
