Folk art red stoneware snake jug of squat proportions, the applied reptile coiled through the handles applied to shoulder. Emergent snake head with white eyes and fangs. Incised to underside, "A.V. Smith." Circa 1990. {Approximate dimensions: 4 1/2" H. x 5" W., the vessel, 6 1/4" W. including the snake's head.}. Condition: Very good condition, one fang with loss to lower section. Typical freckled glazing and mottled hue. Very minor scratches to surface.
