American politician and lawyer (1756–1836) who served as vice president under Thomas Jefferson, but is most famously remembered for killing his political rival Alexander Hamilton in an 1804 duel. Bold ink signature, "Aaron Burr,” on an off-white 4.5 x 2.25 slip clipped from the close of a letter. In fine condition, with an irregular tear to the upper edge.
