He is best known for his fierce anti-Calvinist and anti-Jansenist pamphlets, but he was also the author of the Métaphysiques, which found use with Descartes. The present work went through numerous editions after its first edition by Denis de la Noüe in Paris in 1617. - Endpapers renewed. Partly (water-)stained.
