Abstract Mixed Media Painting on Canvas

This large-scale vertical abstract painting is executed in mixed media on canvas. The composition features stylized, organic forms suggestive of a tree trunk and branches, overlaid on a backdrop of geometric, color-blocked panels in muted earth tones of sage green, ochre, slate blue, and deep brown. The work is rendered in a contemporary abstract style with a focus on tactile surface qualities, achieved through heavy impasto and scumbled brushwork that creates a rugged, multi-layered texture throughout. Indistinct dark marks are located on the upper right horizontal branch (photo 2), but these are not legible as a name or signature. The piece is housed in a simple wooden strip frame.
