About the artist: Born on April 10, 1939, in the village of Kazavchin, Kirovograd region. Graduated from the Odessa State Art School named after M. Grekov (1967). Teachers in the specialty: L. Tokareva-Aleksandrovich. He worked in the field of monumental and decorative art. One of the brightest representatives of the underground. The main branches are easel painting and graphics, monumental decorative art. The artist's work is characterized by a synthetic variability of formal signs of the national, Renaissance - baroque and modern figurative language. The conventionally - figurative and abstract images he created are saturated with bright decorativeness and metaphor. Author of a number of murals, mosaics, stained-glass windows in Odessa and other cities. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1987). Honored Artist of Ukraine (2008). He joined a group of young artists, alternatively layered to the official art of socialist realism (late 1960s). Creative work. Ideologist of TO "Mamai" (1998) in Odessa. Participated in exhibitions since 1966. Participant and organizer of "apartment" exhibitions in Odessa, Moscow, Leningrad (now St. Petersburg; 1970-1980). Personal exhibitions - in Odessa (1996-1997, 1999, 2013, 2016), Lvov, Gdansk (Poland; 1998), Kiev (2004, 2013).
