About the artist: Alexander Nikolaevich Lozovoi - artist, art critic, candidate of pedagogical sciences, author of books and articles on fine art, was born in Abkhazia in the city of Sukhum in 1949. He worked at the State Tretyakov Gallery, scientific secretary of the USSR Academy of Arts.

About his work, the publishing house GROM Publishing Home published the book “The White Steamboat of the Artist Alexander Lozovoy” (ALEXANDER LOZOVOY: VESSEL SO WHITE. Author R. Gosin, translated by R. Sandomirskaya). A well-known American scholar of Russian avant-garde history, director of the Institute of Slavic Studies and professor at the University of Southern California John E. Boult responded positively in the introduction to the book on Lozovoy’s work.

Alexander Lozovoy is a participant in many Russian and international exhibitions. His works are stored in museums in the country, including the Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the A. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow), the Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), the Arkhangelsk Museum of Fine Arts, and the Yaroslavl Art Museum Museum in the Historical and Architectural Museum “New Jerusalem”, in the Zimmerly Museum of the University of Rutgers (New Jersey, USA), in other museums and private collections.

A. N. Lozova is the author of several books, as well as articles on the visual arts.
