About the artist: Mikhail Georgievich (Egorovich) Malyshev after graduating from a real gymnasium in St. Petersburg entered the Academy of Arts, where he studied from 1871 to 1876. He was a good draftsman and painter, he painted genre scenes and landscapes (First debut, Sad Thoughts, Cloud, Summer Cottage, Garden Corner in Kornilovka, Friends), demonstrated his work at the exhibitions of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions, as well as at traveling academic exhibitions in Odessa ( 1886), Kharkov and Yekaterinburg (1887). Brushes M.G. Malysheva owns the work "In Bulgaria", completed shortly after graduating from the Academy (1879). The painting is now in the Tretyakov Gallery. Modest work of M.G. Malysheva, of course, should be fixed in the glorious history of Russian fine art.
