Left panel: - Ichikawa Kobunji I (one of the names that the less known actor Bando Tarô assumed) in the role of the lackey Washizu no Shimobe Tadashichi who hides behind a tree on the left.

Right panel: - Sawamura Tanosuke III as Shiranui Daijin, who is actually the disguised Princess Wakana Hime.
\r
Issued in 1864, 1st month (Andreas Marks) , combined date-aratame censorship seal.

Condition: quite good with some beautifully restored wormholes. Beautiful print, with some fading color, but full lines. Some smudgy spots, normal signs of old age. Balanced composition, beautiful prints.
