"Adam" Bronze Sculpture
"Adam" Bronze Sculpture
There is a certain dejected vulnerability to the nude man as he walks swaying, his head downcast, as he covers himself with both hands. The sculpture can be depicted in a biblical sense, envisioning Adam walking through the Garden of Eden, ashamed, hiding from the grace of God, after eating the forbidden apple of the Tree of Knowledge. The textured surface of the sculpture gives a sense of vibrating emotion emanating from within. The handmade bronze sculpture was stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. It is mounted upon a black marble base.
This is an Auguste Rodin inspired reproduction bronze sculpture bearing the signature of the artist.
