Ruins of the Palace of the Emperor Diocletian at Spalatro in Dalmatia, FIRST EDITION, 61 engraved plates, 14 double page or folding, on 54 ff. after Charles-Louis Clérisseau, mostly engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi and Francesco Zucchi, the folding plates very slightly trimmed at fore-edges, with a little loss to engraved area, once touching plate number & imprint, but no loss to images, little spotting to text, occasional marking, little browning to edges of some plates, contemporary half calf, black morocco spine label, chipped, marbled boards, worn and marked, covers scuffed, binding broken internally before plates, uncut, folio (c. 550 x 380 mm), For the author, 1764.
