Adi Munardi (Malang, E. Java, 1946 – Purwakarta, W. Java, 2000) Misca

Painter and ceramicist Adi Munardi painted a profile of a woman, who apparently was called Misca. The painter enjoyed experimenting with the dark black ink washes, as we can see in this unique painting. This painting is from the collection of the late human rights activist Rosita Noer. who collected many Balinese related artwork, including the works of Antonio Blanco, Berber Mersad, Huang Fong, the unique works by Adi Munardi, the works of IB Said and Rukmini Yusuf, the Islamic related works by Achmad Sadali and Jeihan Sukmantoro, and the abstract works of Srihadi Soedarsono.
