Watercolor on Paper

Known for: Genre, figure and street-landscape painting, illustration
Biography: The Harmon-Meek Gallery in Naples, Florida has represented the Adolf Dehn estate since 1970 during which time it has hosted more than twenty exhibitions of all aspects of the artistâ€â„¢s work. William Meek has also arranged for Dehn loan exhibitions to be viewed in more than thirty art museums throughout the country. Recent major publications about Adolf Dehn, his life, and his art, present a more complete picture of who he was and what he accomplished. Dr. Philip Eliasoph of Fairfield University in Connecticut wrote Adolf Dehn â€â€œ Midcentury Manhattan which was published in 2017 by The Artist Book Foundation in North Adams, Massachusetts revealing his fifty years spent living there. In 2021 Dr. Henry Adams of Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio wrote about Dehnâ€â„¢s entire life in The Sensuous Life of Adolf Dehn which was published by the University of Missouri Press in Columbia. To the best of our knowledge Dehn was included in every Whitney Museum of American Art â€Å“Annual” invited exhibition from 1931 until his death in 1968, a feat not attained by any other artist.
