Adolf Sehring (Russian/American, 1930 - 2015)

"Mark in Winter". Oil on canvas, signed lower right corner, in gilt wood frame with linen liner, overall 32 ¼" x 38 ¼". Artist's registration number "970" to back of canvas. Provenance: original to the artist's collection; purchased through Zoltan Gluck Gallery, Provincetown, Mass., in 1970's.

A Classical Realist painter of rural landscapes, figures and portraits and also a sculptor and lithographer. Depicting scenes of vanishing America.
He has also had portrait commissions including one of Pope John Paul II, which is now in the Vatican Collection. He has held the position of Lecturer to various art organizations including the Lehigh Valley Art Group.

Condition: Very good, light scuffs to frame.
