Original vintage advertising poster for Bovril - Bovril is a good defence against influenza - Bold black lettering set over a white background with a black double border across the top and bottom of the poster. Bovril was developed in the 1870s by John Lawson Johnston - it is a thick and salty beef meat extract paste sold both in jars and cubes which can be diluted with water or milk to make a beefy hot drink, added to recipes when cooking, or used as a spread.
