Original vintage advertising poster Buy British featuring a illustrated blue and white background depicting a variety of different products including clothes, food and drink, cleaning goods, sport equipment, bags, music instruments, household furniture and utensils, cars, bikes and other vehicles, toys and a union jack flag with the central message in stylised text against a bold coloured box reading: Which of these do you use and are yours British? To make these has meant employment for somebody Was it you? Buy British. One of a series of posters from the campaign to encourage British shoppers to buy goods from home rather than buying foreign goods in order to boost the economy following the Great Depression (1929-late 1930s), fronted by the Duke of Windsor (formerly King Edward VIII; 1894-1972).
