Original antique theatre advertising poster for Harry Tate's (Ronald Hutchison; 1872-1940) music hall variety performance comedy play - Harry Tate in Flying - featuring colourful artwork of a smiling face on a plane propeller over a ship sailing at sea from the Statue of Liberty and skyscrapers of the New York City skyline towards an historical building across the ocean depicting the scene in his sketch in which he shows a home-made plane nicknamed the Taterplane that became Harry Tate rhyming slang for the RAF R.E.8 biplane (a notoriously unsafe plane produced during WWI from 1916-1918), with a black and white image of a Bleriot plane in the sky above, the bold stylised title text in red and black lettering.
