African Mali Bamana or Bambara Jo style mask (20th Century) carved wood, cowrie shell, animal hide and hair, depicting male figure with high raised central crest attached cloth and shell decoration, raised horizontal brow line, pronounced nose and small pursed lips, cat ears with geometric patterns carved throughout and cloth shroud on back.
