African Missionary Crosses, Idol Sticks 1900's
The crosses were used for missionary work in the Central African Republic, and the three idol sticks have a note which reads "A man's idols - I led the chief to Christ and he gave them to me", so the idol sticks were gifts to the missionary for helping the village chief discover Christianity. The crosses range in size from 4 in. to 12 1/4 in. high and the wooden idol sticks range in size from 14 3/4 to 16 1/2 in. long. From the Dale Baker Collection.
