The 'Basakpwa' is an African knife or short sword, which is used by the Ngbandi and Yakoma peoples living in the Central African Republic and in the Congo.

Blade with an oblong funnel shape and marked 'M' on both sides; wooden handle with a wire band and nail heads.

Age-related signs of wear, scratches and indentations are present. The blade has partial traces of corrosion and defects.
