Afshar - Rug - 200 cm - 137 cm
Rug hand-knotted in southern Iran and originating in the province of Kerman, where we find the city of Sirjan inhabited mostly by Afshar tribes of Turkish origin. The geometry of these rugs, whether they be medallion or herringbone, makes them very different to the rest of the area. To fabricate them, they use a Persian knot on the warp and double woof made of cotton with wool native to the area. Exported from Iran before 2015.
