After Antonio Canova (Italian, 1757-1822), "Venus Victrix." The alabaster sculpture depicts a semi-nude Pauline Bonaparte as Venus Victrix with garments draped around her waist; she holds an apple in her left hand and is reclining on a recamier with pillows supporting her right arm. Artist signed on the recamier cushion. In good condition with no damage or repair. Dimensions: 13.5 in. high x 25.5 in. wide x 9.5 in. deep. Weight: 44.85 lbs.
