IMPORTANT! Due to the exceptional dimensions of the work, shipping can take place EXCLUSIVELY within Europe. Thanks for collaboration.

Self-portrait of Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun (Paris, 16 April 1755 – Louveciennes, 30 March 1842) was a French painter, considered one of the greatest portraitists of her time, with Maurice Quentin de La Tour and Jean-Baptiste Greuze.

Measurements of the canvas cm. 152x102

Her art and her exceptional career made her a privileged witness to the upheavals of the late 18th century, the French Revolution and the Restoration. A fervent realist, faithful to the ancien régime and therefore against the revolution and Napoleon, she was a painter of the court of France, of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI, of the Kingdom of Naples, of the court of the emperor of Vienna, of the emperor of Russia and of the Restoration. Several self-portraits are also known, including two with her daughter and one herself depicting herself as Madame de Staël as Corinna at Capo Miseno.

Work coming from a Private Collection, accompanied by Certification pursuant to art. 64 Legislative Decree 22/January/2004 n. 42 Cultural Heritage Code (Italy)

The work will be adequately packaged and sent by courier with insured package.
