This is based off of a painting by Jacob van Oost the Elder of David with Goliath's head, the original located in the Hermitage Museum. Here, the artist has taken the portrait of the young man and removed David's sword and the head of Goliath for a less gruesome rendition of the youth.

Condition: Relined, some surface soils and inpainting visible under UV light.
