Condition Report: 19th century reline. Later strip line. Newer stretcher and keys. Stretcher impressions. Overall a heavy varnish fluoresces under UV light. Overpainting at the extreme edges where the canvas meets the reline. Overall craquelure. Flake with pigment loss in the upper left, small flake in the upper center. Scattered lines of inpainting (stabilized craquelure). Conservation is obscured by the varnish. Fair condition. | Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
