After Thomas Moran (1837-1926, American), "Ship at Low Tide," 1855, oil on canvas mounted to board, signed and dated lower left, presented in a gilt frame, H.- 13 3/4 in., W.- 18 1/2 in., Framed H.- 19 1/8 in., W.- 23 3/4 in.
Condition Report: Condition consistent with age. Wear to paint along edge and canvas from frame. Wear to varnish alonge edge of canvas and loss of varnish in proper right upper quadrant. Craqueler throughout. Canvas has been mounted to a modern board with wax resin. Black light reveals in-painting and repair across vertical center of painting; also reveals spots of in-painting on proper left upper quadrant. A handsome example.
