After William McTaggart, Scottish, 1835-1910. Oil on canvas after McTaggart's "Dora", in which he illustrates a scene from Tennyson's "Dora" of 1842. Some surface grunge, some paint losses/flakes along the lower margin. Sight is 37 3/4" x 45 1/2" high, in a gilt wood and gesso frame with some cracking and losses, 45 1/4" x 53 1/2" high overall.
