Provenance: former collection René van Bastelaer, Brussels.

Condition: - traces of woodworm to the back of the panel
- left edge strongly overpainted
- overpaint to the background
- varnish darkened
- overpaint to the right eye, the right hair lock, and the right part of the forehead
- the right side of the painting, with several missing paint spots (flaking of the paint), poorly retouched
- scratch to the varnish situated to the lip
- furthermore, in our opinion, the item appears in acceptable to good condition.
