A ritual bead made of agate with an ivory-coloured background and chestnut-coloured decoration. It has a spindle-shaped form featuring stylised motifs of ‘fortune and longevity’ (福寿), combined with scrollwork. It displays a patina resulting from age. Tang Dynasty (618–907) or later.
