In this work, Akore paints Sharbat Gula, an ethnic Pashtun Afghan woman who became famous for her photograph taken by Steve Mc. Curry during the Afghan War, when 12-year-old Gula was in the refugee camp. from Nasir Bagh in Pakistan. With this work, Akore intends to honor each and every innocent girl who suffers the ravages of wars. Childhood deserves to be protected always. -------------------------- About the artist. . . Akore is considered one of the most active and well-known street artists in Barcelona and Spain. He is known for his works made with the urban 'stencil' technique and began to be inspired by artists from the scene such as Banksy, Martin Whatson, Takashi Murakami, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Warhol, Obey or C215. He has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions, events and international projects. His work has been published in National Geographic, Greenpeace, MTV, El Periódico de Catalunya, La Vanguardia, among many other prestigious media. He has appeared in the documentary series on art 'This is Art' broadcast in more than 50 countries around the world. He is known in the street art scene for his colourful, powerful and expressive Afro style. His unique style revolves around post-graffiti. His portraits and paintings of African tribal women reflect the soul of Mother Africa, with with whom he has always felt connected spiritually. His work is clearly influenced by urban culture, Hip-Hop, Pop. Art, African-American movements and culture, by African aesthetics. ------------------- Shipment: Regarding orders, all are shipped within a maximum of 3 days after payment has been processed.
