Brooklyn native Albert “Alberto” Juliano specialized in Modernist mixed media painting that reflect the influence of Fauvists and Modernists such as Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Amedeo Modigliani. His work often featured people and places he had seen and known, many of which were painted on reused carton. After developing arthritis later in his career, Juliano’s work shifted toward a more Abstract Expressionist style featuring drip techniques. Item not examined outside of mounting
