Albert FERAUD (1921-2008) UNTITLED, 1987 Galvanized steel sculpture Signed on the base "A. Féraud" Albert Féraud, born on November 26, 1921 in Paris and died on January 11, 2008 in Bagneux, is a French sculptor. He studied at the schools of fine arts in Montpellier, Marseille and Paris in the studio of Alfred Janniot. He won Rome's first grand prize for sculpture in 1951. Between 1950 and 1960, he performed many works in stone or bronze. From 1960, Albert Féraud discovered the material of recovery and his work evolved into an increasingly marked abstraction. With his sculptor friends of the generation of "scavengers", César and Michel Guino in particular, he finds his materials in car scraps, industrial dumps. He then is geared towards welded iron and then stainless steel work. Albert Féraud was elected a member of the Academy of Fine Arts in 1989, in the chair of Hubert Yencesse.
