Albert Speer – a black dinner suit, 1938/39A suit from the wardrobe of Albert Speer, comprising jacket and trousers in heavy black cotton. Double-breasted dinner jacket, elegant attire for festive occasions or evening dress, in size 48; the tailor's label "Wilhelm Holters, Tauentzienstr. 16, Berlin W.50" inside at the back; a personalised label in the inside pocket, handwritten by Holters: "Prof. Dr. Speer, 1938". Comes with the matching long, black trousers, also with a Holters label "Prof. Dr. Speer, 1939" in the lining on the right; the trousers were purchased separately a year later. Holters' tailor shop in Berlin was known for superlative bespoke clothing and was the preferred supplier and court purveyor for numerous ministers, politicians and high-ranking officers.
