Albert Theer Powder box - Ivory - 19th century

Beautiful ivory powder box adorned with a hand painted portrait of an Austrian nobleman by Adolph Theer: "A nobleman in a blue jacket". Adolph Theer (1811-1868) was a renowned 19th century Viennese painter known for his talent for creating detailed miniature paintings. The powder box is made of French ivory and is in exceptional condition without stains, cracks, or obvious fading. The colours are still bright, and the painting details are exceptional when viewed under a magnifying glass. Appraisal report is available to attest to the authenticity of the origin of the piece.
