He exhibited at the Venice Biennale and at the Rome Quadrennial, of which he was also President in 1993. In 1997 he became part of the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca. In 2005 the then President of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, awarded him the Vittorio De Sica Prize for Culture. In this work he depicted situations in the bar, seductive looks between a man and a woman, that the master loved to repropose so much.
