Copy 1 ------ Girolamo Porro is an engraver from Parma, pupil of Eanea Vico. His engravings are called 'superbement exécutés' in the Benezit. The British museum holds an etching by him signed : 'Hieronymus poro fecit' (1868,0612.1372). I'm unaware if this quasi certain identification of 'Poro' was registered before. Medium: Engraving Circa: 1567-1590
Condition: Silvery impression trimmed on plate border. With two hinges on a support sheet. Small defect at the top middle border line.
