He was an illustrator, oil painter and cartoonist. His work can be seen in many areas of the editorial media. Here I propose a characteristic work of the artist Alessandro Biffignandi, large size: 70 x 90 cm, technique: tempera and acrylic on cardboard, signed by the artist on the front on bottom right and entitled "Battaglia". With Certificate of Origin by the "Art Gallery" in Carmiano (Lecce/Italy) . Worldwide shipping with accurate packaging. Biography: From the late 1950s to the early 1960s, Biffignandi worked through the Milanese art agency for the French market, where he painted covers for various pocket comics for LUG publisher such as Nevada, Hondo, Kiwi, Yuma and Rodeo. He also designed the Rombo Bill (Rodeo 1959) , Flambo (Flambo 1959) , Antonin (Nevada) , Agent Special K3 (Special Rodeo 1966) , Sergeant Fury (Zembla) and Peter Berg (Hondo 1964) strips. In the late 1960s he worked for Fleetway, where he painted the covers of The Spider and Johnny Nero (of note is the resemblance to Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni) in the Fleetway Super Library series. The Spider was one of the most popular strips of this period, originally drawn by Reg Bunn, then revived for a while by the American Jerry Siegel (of Superman fame) . The Super Library was a revival of the original series that began in the Leone comic book series. He also designed at least one cover for Thriller Picture Library. Biffignandi started feeling more and more comfortable with oil painting, leaving his comics career in the early 80s and focusing on book illustration. His covers have graced books published in the UK, US and Italy. From the late 90s, Biffignandi designs calendars, among others, for the Italian Guardia di Finanza.
