Alex Prager's imagery draws viewers in because it is alluring and nostalgic but also slightly foreboding. Prager is a photographer and filmmaker living and working in Los Angeles. She focuses on the surrealist, cinematic nature of our everyday lives. With meticulously staged environments, Prager invites the viewer to see their lives as sprawling, familiar moments, a Hollywood of the self.
