One of America's best known sculptors, Alexander "Sandy" Calder (1898-1976) became most famous for his kinetic abstract mobiles. His works on paper continue the themes of his established mobiles and public sculptures with bright primary colors. His prints depict animals, pyramids, graphic lines and shapes, faces, etc. in a straightforward and direct way.
