Oil on canvas which has is unlined. The canvas tension is adequate and the picture is in plane. The paint layers are in a good, stable condition overall. In the sky there appears to be areas of overpaint which have become pale overtime and are matte compared to the surrounding areas. The overpaint is in the clouds and has been liberally applied. Other areas of overpaint are minimal. The varnish has slightly yellowed with age and has lost saturation but is even overall. There is a light layer of surface dirt present.
