Southern Primitive, 1940. Signed "Alfred Hutty…" in pencil l.r. Drypoint on wove paper, plate size 8 3/4 x 11 5/8 in. (22.2 x 29.6 cm), matted, unframed.
Condition: Gently light-stained, sheet gently toned, stray pencil marks to upper margin, staining to corner l.l., glue residue and staining to verso.

The sheet measures 11 5/8 x 14 3/4 in. The upper corners have thinned areas (at the far edges and well outside of the plate mark), the left to the verso and with reinforcement, the right to the recto. There is a handling crease to the upper margin. The sheet is gently rippled.
