Alfred Hermann Helberger was born 1871 in Frankfurt am Main. He studied at the Städel and the Academy of Fine Arts, Karlsruhe. He first lived in Frankfurt, later in Berlin, and was active as a painter and graphic artist. Helberger went on numerous study trips to Norway and Italy, which defined his style.
Condition: Overall good, evenly fluorescent under UV light, minor surface soils, board slightly bowed. Fissures and losses to frame throughout; losses to corners and fillet.
