Alfredo Suppo (Biella, 1886 - Turin, 1973) , Vase of flowers, mountain landscape on the back, oil on pressed cardboard, dimensions 39 x 31. 5 cm, signed lower left. A native of Biella, he trained between the lessons of his great fellow countryman Lorenzo Delleani and the Turin artistic environment of the late nineteenth century. A lover of material painting and small formats on board and cardboard typical of the Delleani and Bozzalla school, he is still sought after by Piedmontese collecting in the late nineteenth century. The work was born as a view of a mountain landscape and, later on, the artist paints the vase of flowers on the other side. The flower pot is in excellent condition. The landscape at the back has undergone a deterioration with a detachment of a large portion in the center at the bottom, as visible in the photograph. The vase of flowers, on the other hand, appears in excellent condition. Only a slight patina due to natural aging should be noted. Work with Certificate of Authenticity and Legitimate Origin.
