Alice Davis 3 Page Double-Sided Letter to Marc Davis and Chouinard Documents Group of 3 (c. 1951-1962). Offered in this lot is a rare collection of items that grant us a peek into the life of Disney Legend Alice Davis (1929 – 2022). The lot includes a stunning hand-written letter from Alice to her husband, Marc Davis, dated September 20, 1954. In the double-sided three-page letter, Alice tells Marc all about her stay in Laguna Beach and her desire to get a beach house, even featuring a wonderful sketch of herself relaxing at the idyllic place. Also featured are a pair of Chouinard Art Institute report cards dated August 29, 1951, and December 4, 1962, measuring 9" x 7.25" and 11" x 8.5". Besides a privileged peek into her student life, both these report cards list Marc Davis as one of her instructors for life drawing! Also from Chouinard, we have a letter written by Gerald Norland, the institute's dean, addressing Alice's request for information on candidacy for a Chouinard Art Institute degree, dated December 19, 1962. Included is the envelope for this letter. The letter to Marc Davis shows a horizontal and two vertical fold creases. Overall, the lot shows light age-related toning and minor handling and edge wear.
